If I Come to a Comedy Estonia Show, Will I Hear New Jokes?

With the success of our shows we are absolutely humbled that so many people want to come to them. We have been asked about repeated material and I wanted to tell you all about how we do things.

Each show to us is unique. We have new headliners each month, and each month all of our local comedians write 10 minutes of new material, which is about the level a pro works at. Which is very hard work, but we love it and we want to give everyone a reason to come back.

With Stewart and myself hosting our Club Privé show and performing at Drink Bar, a few of our jokes will overlap between the shows on any given month, i.e. if you go to both venues in January, you will hear a few similar things from Stew and me. All other comedians will have new material.

The original idea of our shows was that people would come to one, or the other: either the crazy party of Drink Bar or the jazz and class of Club Privé. We are flattered that people now want to come to both shows in the same month!

What we guarantee is that if you only go to one venue, i.e. Drink Bar or Club Privé, you will always see a totally new show each month. We have been this way from the start and it is my hope this has worked so far. No joke will ever be repeated in the same venue and in the same language.

We do understand people want to come to both venues in a month. That’s kick ass, and thank you! Stewart and I are discussing ways to make sure every show is completely unique, even between Drink and Privé. We should probably just write more jokes and we are working hard to coax more material out of the Comedy Estonia rubber chicken. Even if you do come to both venues in a month, it will only be a maximum of 10 minutes out of the whole show that is similar, but realistically probably much less.
